Carrier Sűtrak
launches national service centre network
Carrier
Sűtrak, the world leader in transport air conditioning, is stepping up
its service to its UK customers by strengthening its national network of
service centres and using a dedicated call centre to handle emergency calls.
Through
a network of 25 parts distribution and service centres, the company aims to
ensure that all bus and coach operators are within easy reach of top quality
facilities for routine servicing and repairs.
And if there is a problem while the vehicle is on the road, a new
call centre will provide a hassle-free service, monitoring progress from
call-out to sign-off.
Peter
Adams, managing director of Carrier Sűtrak UK Ltd, explained: “With
thousands of buses and coaches across the country fitted with our equipment,
we need to make sure that service is reliable, efficient and locally
available. For some time we have been aware that with such large numbers of
systems, support from one location in Northampton is not viable.
“Over
the past year or so we have been building relationships with service centres
across the country who can prove they meet our standards for staff training,
knowledge of our products, customer service and our requirements as parts
distributors. We are now launching a strong national network to take us into
a new era of customer service.”
Carrier
Sűtrak product support manager Bob Morris has been responsible for
developing the service centre network.
He said: “In this new network there is a spread of large and small
companies and long-established and younger companies.
What they have in common is that they share Carrier Sűtrak’s
service ethos and quality standards.”
For
dealing with emergency call-outs, the company has appointed a dedicated call
centre to handle emergency calls 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. This
centre will call out the nearest approved service provider and action a
process that will monitor the progress of the repair through to completion
whilst keeping all parties informed. The telephone number for the emergency
call centre when dialling from within the UK it is: 0870 609 9393. From
outside the UK is: 00 44 1709 810227
Carrier
Sűtrak will be distributing service booklets and maps showing the
location and contact details for these new service and parts distributors.
Operators interested in obtaining these are invited to contact Bob Morris at
the Northampton head office: telephone 01604 581468, fax 01604 758132.
Eric
Stott, managing director of Airconco Ltd in Heywood, Lancashire, said he
welcomed his company’s new partnership with Carrier Sűtrak: “We
have brought to them our skills and our experience of working with coaches
for many years. From Carrier Sűtrak we are now getting a more
comprehensive back-up of parts and technical information.
We know straight away about all the latest technology and models and
we are part of a new structure which will help us to build really effective
relationships with the operators in our area.”
